HOUSTON — A maintenance worker was shot multiple times outside an apartment complex in southeast Houston. The incident occurred on July 19, prompting a police investigation into the violent confrontation.

The shooting took place shortly after midnight in the 3600 block of Old Spanish Trail. Officers with the South Central Patrol Division responded to reports of the shooting at the location.

Investigation records indicate the victim had earlier asked a group of people believed to be in their late teens or early 20s to leave the property. The group returned, confronted the worker, and opened fire.

Emergency personnel transported the victim to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Police are searching for four suspects, consisting of three males and one female.

Authorities noted the suspects were last seen wearing dark-colored hoodies. No arrests have been announced in connection with the shooting as of July 20.
