GALVESTON — Two suspects are facing charges in a string of car break-ins along the 8700 block of Seawall Boulevard. The Galveston Police Department took the suspects into custody and secured property taken during the incidents.

Officers arrested two suspects and recovered many possibly stolen items following an investigation into the series of thefts. Law enforcement personnel determined that the break-ins occurred on Tuesday and Wednesday, targeting vehicles parked along the specified stretch of the boulevard. The recovery of the items allowed investigators to begin the process of identifying the owners and returning the property.

Investigators have identified victims through local Facebook pages where residents posted about the missing belongings. By monitoring these community social media platforms, authorities were able to match some of the recovered goods with reports filed by car owners.
