The Rolling Stones released their 25th studio album, "Foreign Tongues," on July 10, 2026. The album marks the latest chapter in a recording career that began 64 years earlier with the band’s debut LP.

"Foreign Tongues" follows 2023’s "Hackney Diamonds," the band’s 24th studio album. It is the second Rolling Stones LP to feature Steve Jordan on drums, who handles drum duties across the new record. Jordan assumed the role following the 2021 death of longtime drummer Charlie Watts, who had performed on the track "Hit Me in the Head" shortly before his passing.

The lead single from "Foreign Tongues" is "In the Stars," which features Mick Jagger on lead vocals and Keith Richards on guitar. The album includes guest appearances from several notable musicians. Paul McCartney performs bass on the track "Covered in You," while Robert Smith of The Cure contributes guitar to "Divine Intervention." Bruno Mars plays cowbell on "Never Wanna Lose You."

Steve Winwood plays keyboards on most tracks of the album. Additional percussion comes from Chad Smith, who plays bass drum on "Beautiful Delilah," the closing track of "Foreign Tongues." That song is a cover of Chuck Berry’s original, and the album also features a rendition of Amy Winehouse’s "You Know I'm No Good."

Reflecting on the release, Jagger said, "This never gets old." The Rolling Stones have maintained a prolific output across decades, with landmark albums including 1968’s "Beggars Banquet," 1969’s "Let It Bleed," 1971’s "Sticky Fingers," and 1972’s "Exile on Main St." Their most recent prior studio album before "Hackney Diamonds" was 2016’s "Blue and Lonesome," a blues covers record.
