CHATTANOOGA — Average gasoline prices in Chattanooga rose 16.5 cents per gallon in the week ending July 13, 2026. The average price reached $3.44 per gallon that day, according to a GasBuddy survey of 170 stations in the city.

The increase follows a 14.2-cent rise over the prior month and marks a 72.7-cent jump compared to July 13, 2025, when Chattanooga’s average price was $2.71 per gallon. On July 12, 2026, the day before the weekly average was recorded, the cheapest station in Chattanooga sold gasoline for $3.10 per gallon, while the most expensive charged $4.08—a difference of 98 cents per gallon.

GasBuddy, a Dallas-based technology company that operates apps and websites to help drivers find lower fuel prices, compiles its data from users, gas station operators, and partner companies. The company has tracked crowd-sourced fuel prices across the United States and Canada since its founding in 2000.

Chattanooga’s average gasoline price has fluctuated over recent years. It stood at $3.01 per gallon on July 13, 2024; $2.98 per gallon on July 13, 2023; $4.04 per gallon on July 13, 2022; and $2.80 per gallon on July 13, 2021. Nationally, average gasoline prices on those same dates were $3.51 in 2024, $3.53 in 2023, $4.61 in 2022, and $3.14 in 2021. The national average on July 13, 2025, was $3.11 per gallon.
