CALIFORNIA — The Linda Lindas announced their third album, "Gotta Get Out," set for release on August 28, 2026. The band previewed the album by releasing the song "Closer" on July 10, 2026.

The album will be released through Reprise/Warner Records and consists of 11 tracks. "Gotta Get Out" follows their 2024 album titled "No Obligation." Hayley Williams features on the track "Closer." Bela Salazar opens the song with vocals, and Williams joins Salazar, Eloise Wong, Lucia de la Garza, and Mila de la Garza on the chorus. Williams also sings the lyrics, "Each day getting closer/I'm overthinking again," in the song. The Linda Lindas began writing "Closer" independently, with Williams contributing to the bridge of the track.

Bela Salazar and Lucia de la Garza, members of The Linda Lindas, described "Closer" as being about the experience of "feeling like you're losing control of time, and watching yourself grow older from afar." The band and Williams went to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios after their studio session for the song. Salazar and de la Garza stated, "It feels perfect that Williams was down to collaborate on this song with us, because we've been fans of her throughout so many of her different eras and she's seen us grow up over the last 10 years." They added, "We'll always be honored that we got to write and get emo with the queen of emo herself." The full track list for "Gotta Get Out" includes "Gotta Get Out," "Burning Out," "Helado de Limón," "Blood on Our Hands," "Closer," "Nothing Left," "High Horse," "Break," "I Could Be Wrong," "Everybody Told Me," "Okay," and "See You Next Time."
