Evil Dead Burn, directed and co-written by Sébastien Vanicek, features two post-credits scenes. One scene shows the Deadite version of Polly infecting a young woman, while another depicts the Deadite version of Ellie from Evil Dead Rise killing the daughter of a crematorium owner.

The film confirms the modern era of Evil Dead films operates within the same universe. This era started with Fede Álvarez's 2013 film Evil Dead, followed by Lee Cronin's 2023 film Evil Dead Rise. Evil Dead Burn marks the third installment in the franchise to move away from the slapstick humor identified with Sam Raimi's original trilogy, which included The Evil Dead, Evil Dead II, and Army of Darkness.

The plot of Evil Dead Burn centers on the Price family, who gather at the cabin of their late grandfather, Benjamin. During their time there, Hunter Doohan, portraying Joseph, uncovers the Kandarian Dagger from a hidden compartment within the cabin wall. The film describes the Kandarian Dagger as an ancient blade crafted by the Circle of Wise Men.

Benjamin's journals within the film reveal his connection to the Circle of Wise Men. The journals also identify him as an associate of Professor Raymond Knowby, the archaeologist who initially unearthed the Necronomicon in the 1981 film The Evil Dead. Additionally, Benjamin's journals contain a newspaper clipping that references the cabin fire from the 2013 film Evil Dead.

The cast of Evil Dead Burn includes Greta Van Den Brink as Jessica, George Pullar as Will Price, Souheila Yacoub as Alice, Erroll Shand as Edgar, Tandi Wright as Susan, Maude Davey as Polly, and Luciane Buchanan as Thya. Greta Van Den Brink previously served as the stunt double for Anna-Maree Thomas's character Jessica in Evil Dead Rise. Sébastien Vanicek previously directed the film Infested.
