HOUSTON — Two individuals sustained gunshot wounds during a parking lot takeover in northeast Harris County on Friday, July 10, 2026. Deputies were dispatched to the area of Eastex Freeway and Little York Road around 1:25 a.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.

The shooting incident occurred in a parking lot that is shared by a Walgreens, a bank, and a Home Depot. Investigators believe the two victims are in their early 20s.

Following the event, one victim sought assistance by running to a nearby Whataburger located within the same shopping center. The second victim departed the scene in a vehicle and stopped at another location, where emergency medical services then transported them to a local hospital.
