ORLANDO — Marcellus Wiley was arrested on domestic battery charges on July 4, 2026, at the World Marriott in Orlando. Police responded to a call from Annemarie Wiley stating she was afraid of her husband and that he had threatened to kill her. Annemarie Wiley told officers that Marcellus Wiley poked her in the cheek the morning before the arrest and reported an unreported history of physical violence toward her.
In the days following the arrest, Annemarie Wiley filed for divorce. A court granted her a no-contact order against Marcellus Wiley. She is seeking custody of their three children and use of their Los Angeles home. In court documents related to the divorce filing, Annemarie Wiley accused Marcellus Wiley of raping her in 2012.
Marcellus Wiley has denied the domestic battery allegations and suggested Annemarie Wiley filed the police report because of her plans to file for divorce. On July 7, 2026, Marcellus Wiley posted on X regarding the divorce filing and the rape allegation. "I love my children with everything I am. My highest priority has always been protecting them and preserving the relationship they have with both of their parents. Because of the public allegations made against me by Annemarie, I have been forced to respond with evidence rather than emotion," said Marcellus Wiley, a former NFL player and sportscaster. He claimed to have compiled videos, photographs, text messages, emails, and other evidence that contradict Annemarie Wiley's claims. Wiley accused Annemarie Wiley of repeated infidelity and "serious and damaging parenting failures." He suggested that Annemarie Wiley "lost her mind" after being removed from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Wiley stated he intends to address the allegations through the legal process.
Marcellus Wiley was held overnight and posted a $1,000 bond on July 5, 2026. Separately, seven women have come forward with sexual assault allegations against Marcellus Wiley. In May 2026, he responded to these allegations, claiming he has records that contradict the accusers' accounts, but he has not publicly shared this evidence. One woman alleges Wiley began grooming her at age 13 and sexually assaulted her on her 18th birthday in Dallas. A former ESPN production assistant alleges Wiley assaulted her in a hotel room in 2009. Four new accusers joined three other women who had previously sued Wiley, alleging he raped them while they attended Columbia University in 1994.
In December 2025, Preferred Bank filed a lawsuit against Marcellus Wiley and Dat Dude Entertainment, alleging they failed to repay a $500,000 loan taken out in May 2023. The lawsuit states Wiley agreed to repay the loan within one year. Preferred Bank alleges it never received the principal or accrued interest despite extending the deadline multiple times through December 2025.
