METRO ATLANTA — The Gwinnett County Police Department arrested 11 individuals in connection with a series of burglaries at Urban Air Adventure Park locations. All 11 arrested individuals are under the age of 21.

Seven incidents at Urban Air Adventure Park locations have been under investigation since June 4. Law enforcement officials believe the burglaries are connected to a social media trend encouraging people to break into businesses after hours to play arcade games and damage property.

Four juveniles connected to the burglaries were taken into custody. In total, 15 suspects are connected to these incidents.

Among those arrested were nine individuals aged 17 and 18. Amaury Armas Alvarez, 17, Andy Colunga Castillo, 17, John Stringer, 17, Angel Candelaria Garcia, 17, Christian Currin, 17, Fernando Ramirez, 17, Ahil Ibrahim, 17, and Kareem Liftawi, 17, were placed under arrest. Daniel Chelnokov, 18, and Ethan Mogilinedi, 18, were also arrested. Adam Ayres, 20, was also placed under arrest. The Gwinnett County Police Department stated that "Charges associated with these investigations include loitering and prowling, criminal trespass, burglary, and other related offenses."

Why It Matters

The arrests address a series of recent burglaries that began on June 4 at multiple Urban Air Adventure Park locations. The incidents are linked to a social media trend encouraging property damage and unauthorized entry into businesses. The involvement of 11 individuals under the age of 21, including juveniles, indicates the prevalence of this trend among younger populations.
