Rolling Stone announced that two of its video series, "The Breakdown" and "My Life in 10 Songs," will be available on Netflix. This content will become accessible in the United States and several other countries beginning on August 3, 2026.
Rolling Stone has entered into a partnership with Netflix to make its video content available through the streaming platform. Both archival episodes and future new episodes of these series will be included in the Netflix offering.
According to Rolling Stone, "The Breakdown" focuses on in-depth interviews where artists discuss their notable musical releases. Past installments have featured artists such as Dua Lipa, who discussed "Houdini," Teddy Swims on "Lose Control," Tyla discussing "Water," Shaboozey on "A Bar Song (Tipsy)," and Doechii on "Denial Is a River."
"My Life in 10 Songs" also features extended interviews, with artists reflecting on recordings that have influenced their lives. Lady Gaga, Travis Scott, Zara Larsson, Zayn, and Jack Harlow have been featured in this series. These video franchises center on interviews with artists discussing their biggest hits and the songs that have shaped their lives.
John Derderian, Vice President, Animation Series + Kids & Family TV at Netflix, is overseeing this initiative as part of broader partnerships with media entities. He indicated that Netflix aims to deepen audience engagement through these collaborations. "Members don't just want to watch a show or film and move on — they want to keep exploring the stories and personalities they love long after the final credits roll," Derderian said. He added, "These partnerships help us deepen fandom and create more ways for members to carry those stories with them throughout their day."
