NEW CANEY — An AMBER Alert has been issued for 12-year-old Genesis Mills, who was last seen Monday evening in Montgomery County. Investigators reported that Mills was last observed around 6:30 p.m. on July 6, 2026, at a gas station on Loop 494 in New Caney. Authorities believe Mills may be with an adult man and are searching for a white Ford Transit Connect van with multiple ladders mounted on its roof. The AMBER Alert for Mills remains active.

Mills is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black long-sleeve shirt and black shorts. The adult man reportedly with Mills was last seen wearing a green long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and a blue Houston Astros hat. Investigators have not released additional identifying information about the adult man, nor have they released a license plate number for the van or the state where it is registered.

Authorities are asking anyone who was at the gas station on Loop 494 around 6:30 p.m. Monday and may have seen Genesis Mills or the vehicle to come forward.
