PAYETTE, IDAHO — Andrea Shaw, 23, faces two counts of first-degree murder following an indictment in connection with the 2024 deaths of her 18-month-old twin sons, Tyson and Dallas. Shaw was arrested in Boise on June 30, 2025, and is being held on a $2 million bond.

Police officers in Payette, Idaho, responded to a report of a possibly deceased child on May 1, 2024. Upon arrival, officers discovered the two deceased twin siblings in a shared bed and began investigating the case as a homicide. The Ada County Medical Examiner's Office was tasked with determining the cause of death, which has not been publicly released more than a year after the incident.

Days after the twins died, Shaw said in a podcast interview produced by Children's Health Defense, an organization previously led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., that vaccines had killed her children and that she was being investigated as a suspect. She described the interrogation process, saying, "So, the way they worded it to me, especially on the second day of interrogation, [was] they said that it wasn't medical and that they determined asphyxiation. And that I had supposedly had a postpartum overwhelming blackout and done it to my children."

A GiveSendGo fundraiser, linked to the same podcast episode, stated that the twins received routine vaccines at their 18-month well-child visit. The fundraiser alleged that both babies died in their sleep a few days after receiving vaccines and raised over $10,000. Additionally, Shaw filed a civil lawsuit against the American Academy of Pediatrics with Children's Health Defense. The lawsuit states that no alternative cause of death has been identified for either child.

Joseph Filicetti, Andrea Shaw's attorney, told KTVB that he believes the twins died from vaccinations. "They were looking at it as a vaccine death, and that's still what I believe it to be," Filicetti said. He added, "I'm not a medical expert, but the medical experts I have, they go through a series of steps when looking at different complications."

Payette police stated they would have no further comment regarding the facts or evidence of the case because it is before the court. They also stated that future information would be released only through the judicial process. Shaw's next appearance in Payette County District Court is scheduled for July 14, 2025.
