OHIO — Novus Foods appointed Admir Basic as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2026. Basic succeeded Tom Davis in the leadership role.

Prior to joining Novus Foods, Basic served as president and CEO of Great Kitchens Food Company. He also spent nearly ten years at the bakery company Aryzta, holding senior commercial and financial positions there.

Novus Foods, an Ohio-based company owned by CapVest Partners, stated its strategy and day-to-day leadership team remain unchanged with this appointment. The company was established in 2025 through the merger of yogurt manufacturer Noosa and Lakeview Farms, a maker of fresh dips and desserts. Lakeview Farms acquired Noosa from the Campbell Soup Company, and approximately 240 Noosa workers transitioned into Novus Foods following that acquisition. Noosa operates as a stand-alone division within Novus Foods.

Novus Foods provides refrigerated items, including guacamole, premium dips, salsa, hummus, gelatin desserts, protein puddings, and yogurts. Its brand portfolio includes Noosa, Fresh Cravings, La Mexicana, and Salads of the Sea. The Noosa yogurt brand reported net sales of $177 million in the 12 months ending in October 2024.

Tom Davis, the outgoing CEO, commented on the company's growth. He stated, "Together, we've grown Novus from a $200m heritage business into a $1bn chilled snacking platform with leadership positions in dips, desserts and yogurt, through five acquisitions, culminating in the transformational Noosa deal that took the company into its third category. I'm confident that now is the right time to pass the baton." Timothy Colson, chairman of Novus Foods and a partner at CapVest Partners, expressed confidence in his successor. Colson said, "In Admir, the board has found a proven operator with a strong track record of scaling food businesses and deepening customer partnerships, and we are confident he is the right leader to take Novus into its next chapter."
