LOS ANGELES — Rosland Capital LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on July 2, 2026, in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California. The company plans to wind down its business operations and liquidate its assets.
In its bankruptcy petition, Rosland Capital listed assets between $1 million and $10 million and liabilities between $50 million and $100 million. The company reported approximately $23.6 million in unsecured debt, with Fox News Network LLC listed as a creditor owed over $1.9 million. The names of 19 other unsecured creditors, owed more than $21.6 million, were redacted in the filing.
Rosland Capital's revenue decreased from approximately $151 million in 2021 to about $97.8 million in 2025. According to Bondoro, the company incurred net losses exceeding $24 million from 2022 through 2025. By June 19, 2026, the company had terminated nearly all of its employees.
The company currently holds no inventory of precious metals, coins, or bullion and retains limited cash in its accounts. Michael Hogan of Armanino Advisory LLC serves as Rosland Capital's Chief Restructuring Officer.
Rosland Capital expects to file a bidding procedures motion for an auction of its assets. A plan calling for a liquidating trust to manage the company's liquidation is also expected from the company. The company also had an $11.8 million buy back list and a $49 million deferred revenue balance.
Rosland Capital, founded in 2008, sold gold, silver, and palladium bullion bars and coins, alongside platinum bullion bars. The company also advised clients on precious metal IRA purchases. Rosland Capital expanded internationally, opening an office in London in 2014, followed by offices in Munich and Paris in 2021.
Metals strategist Joni Teves said on May 12, 2026, "We still think that prices can recover from current levels and continue to make new highs this year." Gold prices rose from $1,500 per ounce in 2023 to a peak of $5,620 per ounce in January 2026, according to Bondoro. On July 3, 2026, gold was priced at about $4,175 per ounce, while silver was about $62 per ounce, after peaking at $121 per ounce previously, according to Forbes. Rosland Capital paid sales representatives commissions ranging from 15% to 35% of gross profit.
Why It Matters
Rosland Capital LLC's bankruptcy filing and planned liquidation indicate the cessation of operations for a company that sold precious metals and advised clients on related investments since 2008. The company's declining revenue and liabilities, totaling between $50 million and $100 million, led to the Chapter 11 filing. This action affects its numerous creditors, including Fox News Network LLC, and reflects a shift in the precious metals market sector with the removal of a long-standing participant.
The company's plan to auction its remaining assets and establish a liquidating trust will determine how its obligations are addressed. The termination of most employees by mid-June 2026 demonstrates the comprehensive nature of the business wind-down, leaving no physical inventory or substantial cash reserves to continue operations.
