BROOKLYN — Mick Jagger, along with fellow Rolling Stones members Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, attended an exclusive launch event for the band's new album "Foreign Tongues" at The Weylin in Brooklyn on May 5, 2026. The album, which is the band's 25th studio release, is scheduled for release on July 10, 2026.

Jagger discussed the band's creative process in an interview with the Times of London, referencing a prior attempt to use artificial intelligence before the 2023 album "Hackney Diamonds." "No one could agree, and I threw all these titles at it, and it came back with such rubbish, it didn't help me at all," Jagger said. He added, "I was saying, 'These are my 12 album titles, give me some more,' and of course in the end we never used any of them."

The new album includes a track titled "Ringing Hollow." Jagger indicated in an interview with Mojo Magazine that the song addresses "America as an idea." "The American Dream is intact for some people, and I'm sure we can find some wonderful immigrant stories that happened in the last 12 months, but we read about the decline of the American Empire," he said. He further questioned, "Is the Iran war America's Suez moment? … In any case, it's not the same place as it was."

Richards also discussed "Ringing Hollow" with the Times of London, characterizing it as a "nostalgic love affair" with the United States. Richards, who has resided in Connecticut since 1985, commented that the country was "a bit of a disappointment at the moment."
