Season 3 of the Apple TV series "Silo" will begin streaming on July 3, 2026. This season marks the start of the series' final two seasons.

Graham Yost serves as the showrunner for "Silo," which is based on a trilogy of books by author Hugh Howey. The first two seasons covered the first book in Howey's trilogy, while the final two seasons, filmed back to back, will conclude the remaining story from the books. The series explores the lives of 10,000 residents in a large underground bunker hundreds of years in the future, divided into layers from mines to government, all connected by a massive spiral staircase.

The upcoming season will provide insight into how the world of the silo came to be. Its premiere episode will shift between the future timeline and the present day. Rebecca Ferguson portrays Juliette, a character who has become the first to travel between silos and is currently experiencing memory loss.

Jessica Henwick joins the main cast in Season 3 as Helen, a present-day investigative reporter. The show also incorporates updated plotlines to reflect contemporary concerns, such as artificial intelligence.

Showrunner Graham Yost described the collaborative effort required for the intricate narrative. "It's a lot to keep track of, but everyone is pitching in, and I love this sense of collaboration," Yost said. Rebecca Ferguson commented on the amount of physical exertion required for her role. "I fucking hated running up and down those stairs," Ferguson said. Henwick, a fan of the show before joining the cast, chose not to read any scenes beyond her own. "I didn't read any scenes except my own," Henwick said. "Because I'm a fan of the show, I wanted to preserve that experience."
