BULVERDE, TEXAS — A 15-year-old student shot a teacher at Hill Country College Preparatory High School in Bulverde, Texas, on Wednesday morning, according to the school district. The student died at the scene, according to a news release.
The teacher was hospitalized with unknown injuries following the shooting, the release stated. The school's lockdown alarm was activated just after 8:30 a.m., according to a district statement.
The Comal County Sheriff's Office said in a news release that the situation is contained and there is no ongoing threat to students. At 9:38 a.m., the district said the school was secure and that students would be taken to Bulverde Middle School to be picked up by their parents. Bulverde is a city about 30 miles north of San Antonio.
