ANNVILLE TOWNSHIP — Michael Pavasco, 25, was taken into custody on the morning of June 30 in Annville Township after being charged with multiple counts of child pornography and sexual abuse of children. The charges followed an investigation initiated by cyber tips received by the Western Lebanon County Regional Police Department.

Pavasco faces three counts of criminal attempt to commit sexual abuse of children, three counts of sexual abuse of children, and one count of criminal use of a communication facility. The Lebanon County Human Trafficking Task Force executed a search warrant at a private residence in the 200 block of South Lancaster Street, where Pavasco lived with family.

Officials investigated after receiving cyber tips that alleged Pavasco uploaded three separate files of child pornography to the online web forum Discord, according to the Lebanon County District Attorney's Office. Officers obtained records from multiple sources, which confirmed the Discord user account and uploads of child pornography were associated with Pavasco.

The internet used was further associated with Pavasco's physical address in Annville Township, the District Attorney's Office stated. During an interview, Pavasco admitted to using the internet and Discord to upload child pornography. Officials stated that he also admitted the phone number and email associated with the uploads were his.

According to court documents, Pavasco allegedly used a cell phone to upload child abuse materials. He reset the cell phone to its factory settings and returned it to T-Mobile. The Lebanon County Human Trafficking Task Force signed the Internet Crimes Against Children Agreement, which provides additional authority in child abuse and child sexual assault investigations.

Pavasco's preliminary hearing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on July 9 before Magisterial District Judge John Ditzler.
