MAGNOLIA, TEXAS — Dallas Jarwin resigned as a Montgomery County Precinct 5 deputy on June 30. The office announced the resignation Tuesday.

An internal investigation concluded June 29 that Jarwin violated department policies by sharing protected information and operating his patrol vehicle unsafely. Chief Chad Walling stated, "The investigation into the allegations against Deputy Dallas Jarwin revealed that there were in fact Montgomery County Precinct 5 Constable policy violations for sharing protected information and operating his patrol vehicle in an unsafe manner." Walling said Jarwin resigned before termination.

Raven Walker stated that Jarwin shared photos of her on Snapchat after arresting her during a traffic stop. She said she was pulled over for an expired registration and arrested on a controlled substance charge involving a THC vape pen. Walker also stated that Jarwin used Snapchat while driving her to jail while she was handcuffed in the back of the patrol vehicle. "He was opening up Snapchat and responding back to them while he was driving," Walker said.

Hailey Walker stated that screenshots from Jarwin's private Snapchat story allegedly included a picture of Raven Walker's driver's license and other booking-related images. Hailey Walker said a coworker recognized Raven Walker in one of the posts and alerted her. Subsequently, the Walkers filed a complaint with the office, which confirmed Jarwin had been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.
