BUENOS AIRES — Legislators from 12 Latin American countries signed a resolution on Tuesday in Buenos Aires, endorsing the expansion of the Isaac Accords and advocating for increased regional cooperation with Israel. The resolution includes efforts to encourage additional Latin American countries to move their embassies to Jerusalem.

The agreement concluded a three-day Latin America Chairmen's Conference, which took place from June 28-30, 2026. The Israel Allies Foundation, in cooperation with the American Friends of Isaac Accords of the Genesis Prize Foundation, organized the conference. More than 20 lawmakers, ambassadors, religious leaders, and political figures attended the event.

Keynote speakers at the conference included Argentine President Javier Milei, Argentina's Ambassador to Israel Axel Wahnish, and Brazilian presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro. The Isaac Accords, a regional framework proposed by Milei and modeled on the Abraham Accords, aims to strengthen economic, technological, diplomatic, and security cooperation between Israel and Latin American nations.

President Milei delivered a speech stating, "From day one as president, I made the firm determination to place Argentina on the right side of history." He added, "Disorganized evil can only be defeated by organized good." He also said, "Words without actions are just words, and this region has already had too many speeches and too much inaction." Milei emphasized, "There is no room for neutrality," and stated, "What this region decides in the coming years will determine which side of history we end up on." Argentina's Ambassador to Israel, Axel Wahnish, commented, "Now we need the unity and the force of every country in Latin America coming together to accelerate the Isaac Accords." Wahnish said that for the accords to "transcend political movements," each country must identify how they will improve the lives of its people.

The conference also promoted the wider adoption of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance working definition of antisemitism and encouraged greater legislative cooperation against terrorism and extremism. Josh Reinstein, President of the Israel Allies Foundation, stated, "This conference marks a defining moment as we call on courageous parliamentarians across the region to fully embrace the Isaac Accords and take the historic step of moving their nations' embassies to Jerusalem, Israel's undivided capital."
