The National Institutes of Health's All of Us Research Program announced a new data release on Tuesday, June 30, 2026. The program, which began collecting health and wellness data from participants in 2018, now includes nearly 750,000 individuals.

Data collected by the program includes genome sequences, Fitbit data, family history surveys, and real-world medical records. To gather this information, the program has accessed thousands of electronic medical records through patient data-sharing networks that are primarily used to coordinate clinical care.

Approximately 98% of participants in the All of Us Research Program have agreed to share their electronic health records for research purposes. Despite this high rate of agreement, more than 300,000 participants currently do not have electronic health record data within the program's database.

The announcement marks the latest update from the initiative, which has operated for eight years since its 2018 launch. The new data release expands the available resources for researchers utilizing the platform to study health trends across diverse populations.
