WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Trump administration partnered with PragerU and Hillsdale College on its semiquincentennial celebration, which included the deployment of mobile museums and educational videos. Hillsdale College produced a series of videos in partnership with the White House and the Department of Education.

PragerU operates mobile museums called Freedom Trucks that are stationed at locations including the National Mall. These mobile museums travel to libraries, K–12 schools, and festivals across the country. The interior of the mobile museum contains text, QR codes, artificial intelligence avatars of historical figures, and a video message from President Donald Trump. An AI avatar of George Washington states, "Our rights are a gift from God, not a favor from kings or courts."

Hillsdale College's videos are typically 10 to 15 minutes long and feature Vice President JD Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Eric Metaxas. Matthew Spalding, dean of the Van Andel Graduate School of Government at Hillsdale College, served as an academic adviser for the PragerU Freedom Trucks. Spalding stated, "It was a partnership with the current administration." He added, "A lot of modern history doesn't tell the narrative anymore; all they do is focus on these other things, so it wasn't to exclude those things, but to tell the main parts of the story." Spalding also said, "For a K–12 student—not an academic, a college professor who wants to get into the nuances of everything—we thought the most important thing for them to know was the arc of that story and the narrative."

A website related to the initiative, Freedom 250, lists Hillsdale College as its only partner from the academic world. The Freedom 250 website includes a section titled Voices of Liberty that features narratives attributed to everyday Americans, listing 20 names. Historian Karen E. Park stated that the narratives do not point to real people. "It just passes them off as real people," Park said. She added, "It doesn't say on this website, 'These aren't real people, these are representative examples of our great nation and [its] types of people.'"

Last year, President Donald Trump issued an executive order calling for the restoration of "truth and sanity" in American history. In the executive order, President Trump argued that a "revisionist movement" has focused on issues of race and class rather than fostering unity. The Great American State Fair, a 16-day event, features demonstrations of Revolutionary War battle techniques by individuals in period clothing.
