WASHINGTON, D.C. — A Reuters/Ipsos poll released March 24 found 36% of voters approve of President Trump's job performance, the lowest it has been during his second term. The poll found 62% of voters disapproved of President Trump's job performance.

The approval rating comes as the Iran war entered its fifth week. Domestic gas prices surged by more than $1 per gallon after the fighting in the Iran war commenced last month.

The share of Republicans who disapproved of President Trump's handling of cost-of-living issues rose by 7 percentage points in one week to 34%. A survey found about 25% of respondents approved of President Trump's handling of the economy.

A survey found about 33% of Americans approve of the military operation in Iran. President Trump's approval on immigration fell from roughly 45% in late 2025 to 39% in February 2026.

Media commentator Megyn Kelly criticized the administration's foreign policy. "This is not a foreign policy that makes sense and it is not what Trump ran on. It is, in many ways, a betrayal of his campaign promises, what he sold himself as and of his MAGA base," Kelly said.

President Trump's approval rating on his handling of crime is around 47%. An AP-NORC poll placed President Trump's approval rating at 38%.
