CHICAGO — The fifth and final season of the television series "The Bear," created by Christopher Storer, concludes with the character Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto informing Sydney Adamu that he is entrusting the restaurant's leadership to her and Richie Jerimovich. Jeremy Allen White portrays Carmy, Ayo Edebiri portrays Sydney, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach portrays Richie in the series.

The restaurant faces operational challenges during the final season. Flooded roads delay deliveries, and some deliveries are canceled due to the establishment being out of credit. Additionally, Richie and Sarah Ramos' character Jessica discover the restaurant is overbooked and understaffed, while the character Ebraheim, portrayed by Edwin Lee Gibson, points to a clock, stating the restaurant is out of time. Sydney responds by adjusting a clock remote to add seconds rather than subtract them, saying, "No, it doesn't."

Early in the final season, the character Tina, portrayed by Liza Colón-Zayas, prepares a dish that features roasted Brussels sprouts, a verdant puree, and crispy fried leaves. Tina attends culinary school in the series. The character Marcus, portrayed by Lionel Boyce, travels to Copenhagen to train with the character Luca, portrayed by Will Poulter. The final service sequence in this season spans seven of the eight episodes.

In the first season of "The Bear," Carmy and Sydney attempted to save The Original Beef, an Italian beef sandwich joint. The characters later transformed The Original Beef into a bistro. During the final service, the restaurant staff also prepares a tonnato sauce using canned tuna and mayonnaise.
