HARRIS COUNTY — Kevon Clark, 24, died in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 45 in Houston, Texas, on April 7, 2026. The incident occurred at 2:08 a.m. in the southbound main lanes of the 18700 block of the North Freeway.

Clark was in the number three lane of traffic when an unknown southbound vehicle struck him. The impact moved Clark from the number three lane into the adjacent number four southbound lane. The driver of the initial striking vehicle left the scene without stopping. Several additional vehicles subsequently hit Clark, with none of their drivers stopping to assist or call 911.

As of June 26, 2026, no arrests have been made in connection with the crash. The Harris County Sheriff's Office is investigating the incident. Authorities have not publicly disclosed Clark's origin or destination prior to the crash.

Clark's mother, Felicia Clark, stated her son's injuries were severe, and family members were advised against viewing him before his funeral. "They said it wasn't a good idea for me to see him," Felicia Clark said. She also expressed difficulty understanding the circumstances, stating, "It's so tragic. I don't understand how someone could leave my baby out there like that. I just don't understand."

Kevon Clark is survived by a two-year-old daughter. His older brother, Robert Jones, a postal worker, died in a hit-and-run crash in 2023.
