HOSCHTON — Parenting influencer Jamal Morton announced the death of his 2-year-old daughter, Sadé Rose, after she drowned in a pool at their home in Hoschton, Georgia. The Hall County Sheriff's Office confirmed deputies responded to a residence in Hoschton on Sunday regarding a death and stated the incident appears to be accidental in nature.
Morton, 33, posted on a GoFundMe page detailing the circumstances. "She walked out of the house and got into the pool, where she drowned," he wrote. He added that his daughter "thought she was a big girl and could swim all by herself." Morton also stated, "I lost my daughter," and noted that the family must relocate. "We have to move away because we can't live in that house anymore," he wrote.
Morton's management team announced on Facebook that they would manage his platforms while he and his family grieved. They stated he would no longer be posting or responding to messages. Morton has 1.1 million followers on TikTok, over 2.5 million followers on Instagram, and 2.3 million followers on Facebook. On Tuesday, he posted a video of Sadé Rose on TikTok.
