San Antonio police are investigating a fatal wrong-way crash that occurred on Thursday, June 25, 2026. The incident resulted in the deaths of two drivers and caused life-threatening injuries to a passenger.

First responders were dispatched to the scene at approximately 2:30 a.m. The crash took place on the Interstate 35 southbound upper level, near the Finesilver Curve and the Interstate 35-Interstate 37 interchange.

The driver of the Chrysler, a 27-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 25-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the blue Chrysler, sustained life-threatening injuries. She was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Authorities have not yet indicated if any criminal charges will be filed in connection with this case.
