INDIANAPOLIS — Kevin Singh, 48, was arrested Tuesday in Indianapolis and faces charges of stalking, harassment, and intimidation. Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears announced the charges on Wednesday, stating that Singh is accused of sending threatening and explicit messages to Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham via social media.

Singh's initial hearing is scheduled for Thursday at 9 a.m. His alleged harassment of Cunningham began in 2025, and his behavior reportedly escalated in February after a security team contacted him regarding his conduct.

"The internet has made it easier than ever to target, harass and intimidate others," Mears said in a statement. "Threats of violence, whether face-to-face or behind a keyboard, will be taken seriously." He added, "Coming forward is never easy, regardless of a person's position or public profile." Mears also stated, "The victim is setting an example by speaking out." The prosecutor emphasized, "No one should have to endure harassment, intimidation or threats of violence, and every person deserves to feel safe in their workplace and throughout our community."

Singh is currently on probation in Hendricks County. He previously pleaded guilty to two counts of invasion of privacy, both Level 6 felonies. Five additional felony charges against Singh, including a lead stalking charge and a habitual offender sentencing enhancement, were dismissed. This marks the second instance of a person facing criminal stalking charges connected to a member of the Indiana Fever.

Cunningham, 29, recently signed a one-year contract extension with the Indiana Fever. She described the brevity of her contract extension as frustrating. Cunningham was drafted by the Phoenix Mercury in 2019 and played in the Southwest before being traded to the Indiana Fever in 2025. In an interview last year, Cunningham described herself as more centrist, stating, "In our culture today you have to choose and you have to be an extremist, and that's just not me." She added, "So I agree with things on both sides; I disagree with things on both sides."
