LOS ANGELES — Margot Robbie appears multiple times in a new Chanel 25 handbag campaign recreating Kylie Minogue's 2002 'Come Into My World' video. Michel Gondry, who directed the original 2002 music video for 'Come Into My World,' directed the new Chanel 25 campaign video.

The campaign video was shot on a Los Angeles soundstage designed to resemble a Parisian sidewalk. In the video, multiple versions of Margot Robbie each carry a Chanel 25 handbag in a different color and size.

In the campaign video, the original video's laundromat set is replaced with a bookstore set. Kylie Minogue makes a cameo appearance in a window in the campaign video, wearing pink. In the campaign video, Margot Robbie pets a dog, wheels a bicycle, and waves to Kylie Minogue.

"I remember watching it as a kid and thinking it was so cool and clever — the in-camera trickery he's so famous for," Robbie said. "I can't sing. I'm doing Kylie without having to sing and ruin it for everyone," Margot Robbie said.

"For me, it continues the cyclic feeling of the video. I know Michel was inspired by the repetitive nature of the song, so here we are kind of doing another cycle," Kylie Minogue said.

The connection between the two Australian performers extends beyond this campaign. Both Kylie Minogue and Margot Robbie began their acting careers on the Australian soap opera 'Neighbours,' with Minogue starting in the late 1980s and Robbie beginning two decades later. Margot Robbie's first concert was Kylie Minogue's Fever tour in Sydney.

In 2023, Kylie Minogue named Margot Robbie as her dream choice to portray her in a biopic about Minogue's life. Margot Robbie and Kylie Minogue sat in the front row at Chanel's Fall 2026 runway show during Paris Fashion Week.

Margot Robbie has been a Chanel brand ambassador since 2018. The original 2002 'Come Into My World' music video was filmed on a Paris intersection.
