LOS ANGELES — The Baltimore Orioles defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers 12-1 on Sunday in Los Angeles. Colton Cowser recorded three hits, including a home run and four RBIs, tying his career high for RBIs in a single game.

The Orioles took a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Samuel Basallo hit a single through the gap to right field, which drove in one run. Cowser then hit a bloop to short left field, driving in another run. The Dodgers responded in the second inning with a solo home run from Taylor Ward, making the score 3-1 after two innings.

Cowser hit a solo home run to dead center field in the third inning, extending Baltimore's lead to 4-1. In the fourth inning, with the bases loaded, Cowser hit a two-run single off reliever Jack Dreyer, bringing his RBI total to four for the game. This marked the fifth time in four seasons that Cowser recorded four RBIs in a game. After the fourth inning, the Orioles led 6-1. Blaze Alexander hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning.

Orioles pitcher Brandon Young allowed one run on five hits over five innings. Young's record improved to 6-2 following the victory. The Orioles have a 10-2 record this season in games started by Young. For the Dodgers, Emmet Sheehan gave up six runs in 3 1/3 innings, and his record fell to 3-5. This loss marked the first time the Dodgers lost consecutive games since a four-game losing streak that occurred from May 9-12.
