ARKANSAS — Kendra Duggar was arrested in Arkansas on Friday and charged with four second-degree counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and four second-degree counts of false imprisonment. Duggar was taken to the Washington County Jail in Arkansas and released hours after her arrest.

Amy Duggar addressed the arrest in Instagram Stories, saying, "I don't know what's going on, and our local news is saying that there's more and there's been someone else who's been arrested." She added, "I don't know, I just thought everyone should know there's more to this story. I don't know what it is though."

Duggar posted a black screen to her Instagram Stories and did not provide further explanation after her initial video. The charges against Kendra Duggar represent serious felony allegations involving minors.

In a separate statement, Duggar said, "My first thoughts are with the victim, a child who deserved to be safe, protected and surrounded by people she could trust." She continued, "The courage it took for her to come forward, especially after years of carrying something so heavy, cannot be overstated. That bravery deserves to be honored above all else."

Duggar also stated, "I'm not surprised that another alleged predator has emerged from this toxic system." The Washington County Jail processed the arrest on Friday before Kendra Duggar's release.
