ALDINE — The Harris County Sheriff's Office reported that two adult men were found dead inside a minivan at a commercial property at 13626 Reeveston Road in Aldine on Saturday morning. Homicide detectives and the Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene around 9 a.m.

Patrol deputies and EMS were initially dispatched after a 911 caller reported discovering two bodies inside a vehicle. The two men were located in the rear of the minivan. The bodies were in the early stages of decomposition, and their identities were not immediately known.

Employees at the shop told investigators they had noticed a foul odor coming from the vehicle and subsequently found the bodies inside. The cause of death was not immediately known. Detectives interviewed witnesses while the Crime Scene Unit processed the location.

Authorities determined the damaged and non-operational minivan had arrived at the shop on Friday afternoon via a tow or transport vehicle. The vehicle had been purchased at an auction outside Harris County, and the new owner requested it be sent to the shop for repairs. Detectives are working to locate the driver of the transport vehicle.

The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences removed the bodies from the scene. Autopsies are expected to be performed within 24 hours to determine the cause and manner of death.

No independent assessment was available for this report.
