HAMILTON COUNTY — The Hamilton County Election Commission approved the ballots and early voting sites for the Aug. 6 State and Federal Primary and County General Election. Voters have the option to choose between Republican or Democrat ballots for the State and Federal Primary races.
These primary ballots will also include County General Election races. Voters can request a General ballot that contains only County General Election races. The voter registration deadline for this election is July 7.
The early voting period is scheduled from Friday, July 17, to Saturday, Aug. 1. The early voting sites for the Aug. 6 election are the same locations that were used for the May 5 election. These sites include the Election Commission Office at 700 River Terminal Road in Chattanooga, the Hixson Community Center at 5401 School Drive in Hixson, and the Chris L. Ramsey Sr. Community Center at 1010 North Moore Road in Chattanooga.
Additional early voting locations are Chestnut Hall at the Commons at 4950 Swinyar Drive in Collegedale, the Harrison Center at 5637 Highway 58 in Harrison, and the Soddy Daisy Community Center at 190 Depot Street in Soddy Daisy. Early voting hours at the Election Commission Office are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Early voting hours at the other five locations are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Polling places will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 6.
