NORTHERN ISRAEL — A new joint Jewish-Arab political party, named A Place For All of Us, launched on June 16, 2026, in northern Israel. The party aims to unite communities and challenge the current government leadership.
Co-chaired by Rula Daood and Alon-Lee Green, the party consists of activists from the Standing Together movement. Its leadership structure will include both Arab and Jewish officials, who will deliver political messages in both Arabic and Hebrew.
The party plans to address issues such as crime rates, security concerns, housing affordability, construction regulations, and shortages in educational resources. The party also stated that renewed political attention is required for advancing an Israeli-Palestinian peace agreement.
Rula Daood, who is the first Palestinian woman and the only woman to lead a political party in Israel, commented on the party's foundation. "A Place for All of Us is a truly shared Arab-Jewish party, truly equal, that grew from the ground up and will not disconnect from it." Daood said. Daood also said, "We are being abandoned, murdered, our future is being burned, and I know that to fix this, it is not enough to only say what we are against."
Alon-Lee Green discussed the party's political objectives. He stated, "A Place for All of Us will strengthen the effort to remove National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from power." Green also said, "The party will bring out young voters who, without a Jewish-Arab party, would not have gone to vote." Israeli general elections are scheduled to take place no later than October 27, 2026.
