CHATTANOOGA — Amazon plans to develop a new delivery station in Chattanooga's Lookout Valley area. The facility is expected to create more than 300 jobs and begin operations in 2028.

The delivery station will be located at 3400 Cummings Road and will measure approximately 200,000 square feet. This facility marks the company's first delivery station of its kind in Chattanooga.

The station will process local packages and handle last-mile delivery for customers across Southeast Tennessee. Its operations will also support a network of independent delivery service partners in the region.

Hamilton County Mayor Weston Wamp said, "Amazon’s decision to bring a new delivery station here is further evidence that Hamilton County is one of the country’s most important logistics hubs. This investment will create more than 300 jobs, strengthen our local economy, and create new opportunities for working families."

Since 2010, the company has created more than 25,000 full- and part-time jobs and invested more than $30 billion in Tennessee. The company coordinated with the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce, the city’s development services department, and local leaders during the planning and real estate process. Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly said, "It’s always great news when you hear that a company like Amazon is continuing to invest in the Chattanooga region. In today’s economy, there are fewer and fewer jobs available for residents who lack certifications and degrees, and Amazon helps to fill this opportunity gap as they upgrade their delivery speed in the Chattanooga market."
