Creative Artists Agency partnered with the investment firm Integrated Media Company to launch Compound Creative Holdings, a new holding company. Compound Creative Holdings is capitalized at $250 million and is structured to acquire, operate, and grow creator economy businesses.
Tucker Brown will lead Compound Creative Holdings as its managing director. An executive committee composed of Kevin Huvane, Jim Burtson, Maya Ho, Jon Miller, Ori Winitzer, and Ben Loffredo will oversee the new entity. Andrew Graham and Adam Goldstein will serve as advisers.
Compound Creative Holdings will operate independently from Creative Artists Agency's existing creator business division. Creative Artists Agency Creators represents over 300 creators, and Brent Weinstein continues to lead that division. Brown facilitated a growth investment exceeding $100 million for Dude Perfect and also facilitated an investment in MeidasTouch Network from Soros Fund Management.
Kevin Huvane, co-chairman of Creative Artists Agency, said, "Creators around the world are building full-fledged media companies with direct audience connections and true ownership of their intellectual property. Compound is built to fuel that momentum and reflects our commitment to helping creators amplify their impact." Brown stated, "Creators are no longer just talent, they are enterprise builders and increasingly operate with the scale and sophistication of established media companies. Our goal is to provide the appropriate capital architecture and operational support necessary to help these businesses grow sustainably and capture lasting value."
Ori Winitzer, managing partner at Integrated Media Company, said, "The Creator Economy is rich with investment opportunity and capital formation has just begun. However, capital alone is insufficient, especially in this category." Francois-Henri Pinault acquired a majority stake in Creative Artists Agency in 2023 through Artemis. TPG previously held a majority ownership stake in the agency. Brown worked at CAA Evolution for more than 15 years.
