BERLIN — ILA Berlin opened on June 10, 2026, at Schoenefeld Airport in Berlin. More than 750 exhibitors from 37 countries are participating in the exhibition, which runs until June 14, 2026.

Elbit Systems and Diehl Defense announced a strategic partnership to jointly offer the SkyStriker loitering munition system to the German Armed Forces. This partnership includes provisions for manufacturing, assembly, integration, and qualification activities at Diehl Defense, should relevant programs be awarded.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense stated the exhibition provides a platform to advance strategic partnerships with Germany and other European nations. Fifteen Israeli defense companies are exhibiting at the event, including Israel Aerospace Industries, Elbit Systems, and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. The Ministry's International Defense Cooperation Directorate organized the opening ceremony for the Israeli National Pavilion.

"Israel, Germany, and Europe face shared security challenges, including the infiltration of Iranian-origin technologies into the European arena and shared threats in the fight against terrorism. The close strategic relationship between our two countries, including in the defense sector, holds enormous potential for future cooperation in additional areas, including joint technological development and production," said Ron Prosor, Israel's Ambassador to Germany.

"Israel's participation in the exhibition reflects the Ministry's strategy to deepen defense and strategic cooperation with Germany, and the significant potential for expanding business partnerships with German industry and additional European nations," said Yair Kulas, Director of the International Defense Cooperation Directorate. Israeli defense exports reached $19 billion in 2025, with the Ministry attributing some of the increase to the expansion of the Arrow 3 deal with Germany.

Germany has committed to increased defense spending since 2022 and has initiated major military procurement programs. These investments include air defense, armored platforms, advanced munitions, and integrated command-and-control systems. Pro-Palestinian protesters gathered at the exhibition on the opening day. The SkyStriker platform can carry a warhead weighing up to 10 kilograms, loiter for more than two hours, and has a range exceeding 200 kilometers. It can be launched from land-based vehicles, EuroPULS rocket launchers, naval vessels, containers, and aircraft.
