TAIPEI — Alienware announced the AW3426DW, its next-generation QD-OLED gaming monitor, at Computex 2026 in Taipei. The device is the successor to Alienware’s first QD-OLED gaming monitor, which debuted in 2022, and is expected to be released in July 2026.
The AW3426DW is a 34-inch curved monitor with a resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 and an 1800R curve. It uses QD-OLED Penta Tandem screen technology, which incorporates an anti-reflective screen coating. The monitor’s peak brightness reaches 1,300 nits, an increase from the 1,000 nits offered by the previous model.
Performance upgrades include a refresh rate of 280Hz, up from 240Hz in the earlier version. The AW3426DW supports both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync for adaptive synchronization. It also carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification and supports Dolby Vision HDR.
The monitor features RGB stripe subpixels and has a pixel density of 110 pixels per inch. Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports with fixed rate link (FRL) and one DisplayPort 1.4 port.
Alienware has included a three-year warranty with the AW3426DW that covers burn-in. The warranty is backed by enhanced pixel shifting and refreshing algorithms designed to mitigate image retention issues commonly associated with OLED displays.
Alienware’s first QD-OLED gaming monitor, released in 2022, introduced the company’s initial implementation of QD-OLED technology. The 2026 AW3426DW builds on that foundation with higher peak brightness, a faster refresh rate, and updated screen technology.
