CHENNAI — Students from DOT School of Design won medals at the IndiaSkills National Competition and qualified for the 2024 WorldSkills Competition. Reshma J secured a Gold Medal in Digital Interactive Media at the national level, earning her a spot to represent India at WorldSkills.

At the TN Skills state-level competition organized by the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, all DOT School of Design participants advanced successfully. Reshma J and Rudra JS each won Gold Medals and received Rs. 25,000, while Insiya M Dhorajiwala earned a Bronze Medal and Rs. 10,000. Awards were presented by Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin.

Their success continued at the IndiaSkills Regional Competition, where Reshma J and Rudra JS again claimed Gold Medals in Digital Interactive Media and Industrial Design Technology, respectively. Insiya M Dhorajiwala received a Bronze Medal in Graphic Design Technology. The competitions evaluated participants on concept development, technical execution, and presentation before expert juries.

“Each stage challenged me to improve and perform better. Winning at the national level and moving on to WorldSkills is a proud milestone in my journey,” Reshma J said.

Faculty at DOT School of Design provided structured training, technical mentorship, mock evaluations, and continuous feedback to prepare students. The institution emphasizes hands-on learning and industry-aligned training across its programs in Fashion Design, Communication Design, Industrial Design, and Interior Design.
